Civics at Work
Civic engagement isn’t just good for democracy—it’s a game-changer for businesses and communities. An informed, engaged, and empowered workforce strengthens our economy, fosters stronger community connections, and drives meaningful change. That’s why we launched Civics at Work, an innovative initiative embedding civic participation into workplace culture with measurable benefits for companies, communities, and our country.
What We Do »
IGC Institute (IGCI) brings nonpartisan civic education directly into workplaces—where millions of eligible voters spend most of their time. From the boardroom to the breakroom, we make civic participation easy, encouraged and even fun.
Strategy 1: Elevate Executives as Civic Leaders
Executives shape workplace civic responsibility. IGCI equips them with cutting-edge insights, data, and case studies at the intersection of policy, the economy, and society—empowering business leaders to make informed decisions that strengthen their companies and communities.
Strategy 2: Empower Managers to Drive Civic Engagement
Managers play a crucial role in fostering informed, engaged teams. IGCI equips them with turnkey, nonpartisan resources to make civic participation accessible and relevant.
Strategy 3: Embed Civics into Workplace Culture for EVERY Employee
By leveraging ERGs, volunteer initiatives, and strategic partnerships, IGCI ensures civic participation is not just a seasonal effort—it becomes a sustained workplace norm.

IGCI integrates civic education with real-time policy and business news, ensuring relevance for C-suite leaders.
We also provide the latest research at the intersection of the economy, government and society.

IGCI convenes biweekly strategy discussions during the Texas Legislative Session, bringing together government affairs leaders from HEB, Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, Cisco, Walmart, Apple, Amazon, IBM, Dell, Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, and Samsung. These confidential, candid conversations allow companies to share insights, align strategies, and respond effectively to key policy developments.
-
Our private, nonpartisan discussions help business leaders navigate policy shifts while maintaining stakeholder trust. After new executive orders targeting DEI, we hosted a high-level roundtable in Texas, guiding corporate leaders on strategy and compliance.
-
IGCI develops specialized training for marketing, communications, and HR teams. In January, we trained 100+ Texas leaders at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on “The Election is Over: Now What?
