These events help your ERG build real connection and gain new skills.

Ballot Breakdown Party

A relaxed, guided session where employees explore their sample ballots together so they know what to expect before they vote.

What You’ll Need:

  • QR codes linking to tools like BallotReady for sample ballots

  • A facilitator to welcome people, set simple boundaries, and keep things nonpartisan

  • A screen to show how to navigate tools (optional)

  • Snacks or pizza if you want to make it social

Why It Works: Most people have never actually seen their ballot until they’re standing in the voting booth. Walking through it together takes the mystery (and anxiety) out of voting. It’s educational, communal, and completely nonpartisan, which helps everyone feel more confident and prepared.

Civic Bingo Challenge

A light, gamified way for employees to learn about civic participation by completing simple, nonpartisan actions.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bingo card with actions like “Checked my registration” or “Made a plan to vote”

  • Small prizes (stickers, a coffee card, ERG swag)

  • A place to share progress (Slack/Teams channel)

Why It Works: It’s fun, low-pressure, and nudges employees toward quick civic actions that build confidence and awareness without overwhelming them.

Early Morning, Early Voting Coffee

A casual morning drop-in where employees can grab a coffee, scan a QR code, and get the basics on early voting. No presentations required.

What You’ll Need:

  • Coffee and snacks (optional but helpful)

  • QR codes linking to polling locations and early voting dates

  • A friendly ERG host to welcome people and answer simple logistics questions

Why It Works: It makes early voting feel team-oriented, simple, and stress-free. Employees leave with the practical info they need and the sense that participating is easy, supported, and fun.

“Know Before You Go” Campaign

A simple, policy-friendly way to share nonpartisan voter information by placing small info cards, posters, or digital images in approved locations (always following your company’s posting rules).

What You’ll Need:

  • Small print or digital cards with QR codes linking to trusted, nonpartisan voter tools (like vote.org or BallotReady)

  • Confirmation that QR codes link only to neutral, logistics-based information (registration status, deadlines, polling locations, ID requirements)

  • Advance approval from HR, Legal, Internal Comms, or Facilities based on your company’s policies for shared spaces

  • A list of approved locations where materials may be displayed (intranet, breakroom flyer boards, Slack channels, digital signage)

Why It Works: It gives employees easy access to clear, factual voting information without requiring any meetings or events.

Our Signature Event: Turnout for Tacos

For the last 10 years, we’ve worked with countless organizations to host Turn Out for Tacos events across the US. It’s simple - get your ERG together to go vote and enjoy some grub.

What You’ll Need:

  • A meetup location

  • Polling place info

  • Tacos (or any celebratory snack)

  • Someone to take a group photo afterward

  • If you’re in Austin, Texas, we can even help get a bus to pick up and drop off your employees.

Why It Works:
It pairs civic participation with community connection. People feel supported, energized, and proud…all without any political discussion.
